
Bringing Stories to Life with Le Petit Chef
Introduced an innovative dining experience at JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District, combining culinary storytelling and interactive animations to boost guest engagement and revenue.
To align with JW Marriott Edmonton ICE District’s goal of creating unique, memorable experiences, I successfully pitched a partnership with the creators of Le Petit Chef, an interactive dining experience blending theatrical storytelling with fine dining. This partnership was strategically structured to benefit the property: the Le Petit Chef team provided the website, customer service, and marketing, while the hotel served as the host location, offering food and drinks. This arrangement maximized efficiency and minimized resource allocation for the hotel.
By repurposing underutilized meeting spaces, the event introduced consistent, weekly activations during off-peak times, driving steady revenue and providing regular work opportunities for the banquets team. I also designed menus that seamlessly integrated the JW Marriott brand with the Le Petit Chef aesthetic, creating a cohesive and memorable guest experience.
The launch strategy included hosting a media event for 25 local influencers and media personalities, crafting a compelling news release, and collaborating with the hotel team to curate thoughtful gift bags featuring a recipe card as a keepsake. These efforts resulted in strong buzz and increased visibility for the event. Under six months after launch, the event generated approximately half a million dollars, with over 3,000 bookings, solidifying its success as a transformative revenue stream for the hotel.
